Made by a local Amish family, this 8 Frame hive kit includes all you need for a Standard 8 Frame Deep brood set up. 2 Deep boxes give queens plenty of space for growth and space for bees to store enough honey for winter survival. Black Foundation in these frames make it easier to see eggs against the bottom of the cell. 1 extra deep box is for a honey super. Deep supers are equivalent to approximately 1.5 medium supers, but can weigh up to 70lbs. White Foundation in these frames make it easier to see the color of honey against, so you can harvest seasonal honey together. Foundation is all double waxed so no need to add layers of wax unless you want to.
