Description Gyno Mikozal 400Mg 3Vag Ovules contains miconazole nitrate, an antifungal medication belonging to the imidazole class. It is formulated as vaginal ovules (pessaries) for a short course treatment of fungal infections of the vagina, commonly known as yeast infections or candidiasis. Each ovule contains 400mg of miconazole nitrate. Miconazole nitrate works by inhibiting the growth of fungi by disrupting the integrity of their cell membranes. This action effectively treats the fungal infection, leading to the relief of symptoms such as vaginal itching, burning, redness, and abnormal discharge. The 400mg strength allows for a shorter treatment duration compared to lower strength formulations. Gyno Mikozal 400Mg Vaginal Ovules are indicated for the 3-day treatment of: Vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis). Directions for use: The usual course of treatment is one 400mg vaginal ovule inserted deep into the vagina once daily for 3 consecutive days, preferably at bedtime. Follow the instructions provided in the product leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after use. The ovule should be inserted using the applicator provided in the packaging or with a clean finger. It is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse during treatment as it may prevent the medication from working properly and could also irritate the inflamed area. Complete the full 3-day course of treatment even if your symptoms start to improve. Wearing cotton underwear and avoiding tight-fitting clothing can help prevent recurrence of the infection. Important Information: Gyno Mikozal is for vaginal use only and should not be taken orally. If this is your first vaginal yeast infection, it is recommended to consult a doctor for diagnosis. If you have recurrent infections or your symptoms do not improve after completing the 3-day treatment, seek medical advice. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medication. Be aware that miconazole can weaken latex condoms and diaphragms, so alternative contraceptive methods should be used during treatment and for at least five days after completing it. If you experience any irritation or sensitivity, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
